Job Description: |
Preparing, planning and directing IT policy and strategy for the Company
Analysing the information needs of its Clients and developing technological & business solutions to satisfy these needs (ERP, CRM, Security etc)
Providing network design, analysis and recommendation of hardware and software components with consideration for the application software, installation of hardware and software, and implementation to and its clients
Responsible for obtaining partnerships with world leading brands, including but not limited to -Sun, HP, Dell, Cisco, Sage etc
Resolving complex network related problems involving computer hardware, software and application systems.
Providing the identification of maintenance needs and the ensuring of timely repairs for the Company
Controlling the security aspects of the IT systems in place at the Company and client premises
Acting as systems software specialist in revising, repairing, updating and maintaining support software.
Working out current and future IT needs by consulting with both Company employees, clients and suppliers at all levels about the current work systems and deciding how improvements could be made
Assisting clients and potential clients to work out the hardware and software needs of their personal and business requirements and creating their interest in the company’s lT products and services
Keeping customers informed of new product developments
Management of stock control, inventory and buying
Providing advice to other managers on IT issues and planning
Plans, schedules and supervises work done by his team, ensuring proper distribution of assignments and adequate manning, space and facilities for the performance of tasks
Assists in operation budgets preparation and the administering aspects of operation development and implementation.
Assists the HR manager in the recruitment of IT staff
Is in charge of the communication of problems, concerns and other matters concerning his specialty to the MD

Required Skills : |
Bachelor's degree in CIS, Business Administration or a related management field with specialization in electronic data processing, programming, systems analysis, and system design, or equivalent.
Microsoft Certified Professional (MCP) or the Microsoft Certified System Engineer (MCSE) and/or
A degree in computer sciences or have done a course involving computing, computer science, information technology and computer systems engineering and/or
A+ certified technician status level in repair and upgrade
10+ years IT experience gained from a work placement or from an employment with a company or companies
Depending upon area of assignment, three to four years of increasingly responsible experience in the managing of information technology.
Knowledge of data communications processes and network design.
Ability to interpret and implement data models into relational data bases (e.g., Informix, Oracle).
Ability to perform computer programming and systems analysis work of considerable difficulty.
Experience of the client/server environment.
Software Experience
Operating system/server: Windows (NT, 98,, 2000 Server, Exchange Server, 2000 Professional) Linux, Unix etc.
RDBMS Application: Visual Dbase, Microsoft SQL, Sybase, Access etc.
Programming languages: C++, Visual Basic
Graphic and Office Application: MS Office, Back Office, Publisher
Hardware Experience
Repairing, upgrading and servicing various type of computer systems, including printers, installation of UPS’s, stabilizers, etc.
Networking Experience
Cabling of buildings, management and installation of client/server networks, set up mail routing, perform basic server administration tasks such as backing up and restoring files, fixing database indexes, network security, adding new users etc. Others: Satellite/ PABXs
